CTJ’s Wallick, Lipman Shine In BOA

Honor Band At 128th Rose Parade

Senior euphonium and CTJ drum major Aaron Wallick participated in the 128th Rose Parade on January 2 in Pasadena, Calif., as a member of the national Bands of America (BOA) Honor Band.

In addition, CTJ Director of Bands Jarrett Lipman was part of BOA’s “dream team staff of music educators,” serving as the instructor for Wallick and the baritone section.

The 300-piece, BOA Honor Band was directed by Bob Buckner, former Director of Athletic Bands (retired) at Western Carolina University, and while the band has marched in three previous Rose Parades, this was the first to include members from all 50 states.

Aaron, a member of CTJ's Wind Ensemble, is a two-time TMEA All State Band member, and a current section leader.

Congratulations, Aaron and Mr. Lipman!

Join the CTJ 25-200 Club

The 25/200 Club is an EASY way to financially support the Johnson Band on a monthly basis! Here is how it works: 200 people giving at least $25 a month! That would provide the band $300 per year, per person OR $60,000 per year if 200 people sign up! $60,000 per year will go a LONG WAY in supporting the Johnson Band! EVERY dollar raised goes directly back to the band program!
