THIS WEEK’S UPDATES

Butterbraids Fundraiser

It’s time for the final run of one of our most popular Fall fundraisers, Butterbraids Pastries! An order form can be downloaded here. Pastries cost $13 each, except for the Four Cheese & Herb ($14). Students’ band accounts receive $5.50 ($5.85 for Four Cheese & Herb) from each product sold. The pastries will be delivered frozen, so they can be thawed, baked, and enjoyed right away, or they can be kept frozen and saved for holiday treats, parties, etc.!

Simply place the order form and check(s) payable to Johnson Band in an envelope marked “Butterbraids” and deposit it in the band box no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, November 27. We must place the order by 8 a.m. on Nov. 28, so the deadline is firm. We cannot accept cash. Delivery is expected in mid-December. Contact Jeff Foote (jeffrey.d.foote@gmail.com) or Craig LaVigne (idodeals@aol.com) with questions.

Volunteers Needed for TMEA Region Auditions

Johnson is hosting the TMEA region auditions on Thursday, November 16, and volunteers are needed to serve as audition room monitors. Parents are not permitted to monitor rooms in which their students are auditioning. Monitors are to report at 4:30 p.m. and remain until auditions conclude in the room they are monitoring. Playoff Football Concessions Volunteers Needed

We are working both sides of Heroes Stadium for Friday night’s playoff football game vs. Vandegrift, so additional volunteers are needed. To sign up, click the link below:

Holiday Craft Fair Volunteers Needed

For those who like to plan ahead, the volunteer signups for the Dec. 2 Johnson Holiday Market and Craft Fair are open! There are plenty of shifts open for adults and students alike. If you are free that day, please consider helping, because depending on the football play off schedule, our kids may be pretty busy. Thanks in advance.

Spaghetti Dinner Silent Auction

We need your help gathering items for our Silent Auction! Please use the attached letter and form for soliciting donations. We have broken up the shopping areas near our school into sections; page 3 of this document lists the areas. Any contact made should be reported back to Christy Murphey at christy_murphey@me.com so we can keep track. It’s not too early to begin! Many businesses require at least 60 days to approve donations! Thank you for your support in making this year’s auction great.

Volunteering for Concessions

CTJBPA is always in need of volunteers for upcoming concessions. We ask that band families volunteer for at least three concessions during the school year. Concessions are one of our biggest fundraisers for the band, and we’ll be posting needs here from time to time. For CTJ District 26-6A football games, volunteers are needed for only one side of the stadium.

There are three concessions lined up for Friday, November 17.
• Friday afternoon, concessions at Littleton Gym, 1 p.m.
• Friday evening, both sides of Heroes Stadium for the playoff game versus Vandegrift.

We are currently in need of 45 volunteers for Friday.

Basketball, 1 p.m., Littleton Gym, Friday

The rest of our concession events for October and November are also on the Charms calendar if you want to look at other options.

Follow CTJ Band on Twitter @ctjband, @CTJBPA

During the school year and through the competition season, we will be posting pictures and commentary on what is happening with band and the competitions. It is an easy way to keep updated on what’s going on when the band is out of town and performing!!!
